You can normally find the Retained Accessory Power wire for the seventh generation Chevy Malibu's in the driver kick.
Just remove the driver kick panel and open the loomed wires coming out of the driver door. It should be a heavier gauge wire around 14 gauge (Yellow). You can use this wire to trigger amps, stereos, sat. radios, hands free systems, relays ect...

I think you can also grab it at the fuse box in the center console. It too is the yellow wire for window RAP.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment and the tip! It's greatly appreciated!
DeleteHello, I wanted to install the ghost/shadow/logo lights on a 2010 Malibu. Normally I would just splice them into the courtesy lights that's on the door but the Malibu doesn't come wit any lights on the door. My question is does anyone know how which wire behind the door panel would be the door trigger and if it's negative or positive. Thanks
ReplyDeletedid you ever find an answer to this question? i am also trying to do the same thing.
