So mounting them behind a panel would be difficulty with a long bolt and a small nut. I found some long bolts all OK, about 2 inches long, and the nut I used had a captive washer already attached (Captive nut). This nut fitted in the recess for the nut to go through, but best of all the spring washer actually gripped the inside wall of the hole, so it was like adding a threaded receiver into the amp, which when I located the amp behind the panel, allowed me to push the bolt through the door, then into the threaded hole in the amp. No worries about trying to get a nut on the back of the amp behind the panel. Real lucky but a great solution.SubiPetehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04311227305997778227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265984317000422150.post-4499664092298321252013-10-22T03:38:57.403-07:002013-10-22T03:38:57.403-07:00Do the screws go into tapped holes in the amp or d...Do the screws go into tapped holes in the amp or do they require washers and nuts on the inside of door? I have heard of using brass screws instead of stainless. It depends on the application, but can definitely be a better choice in certain cases.
Thanks Again! - JEREMY JTVhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11668986281873366697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265984317000422150.post-87983478259957810012013-04-10T08:14:12.318-07:002013-04-10T08:14:12.318-07:00I installed a similar amplifier at the back of my ...I installed a similar amplifier at the back of my car and it took quite some time before I finished it. Anyway, have you considered using brass screws instead of stainless steel ones? A friend of mine told me that he uses brass screws when he modifies his car because of its tensile strength. Still, there are advantages and disadvantages between these two materials. I'm just sharing my two cents.

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09201461034568082406noreply@blogger.com
